MIXED MEDIA LAYOUT - DREAMS

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to my blog.

I have created this Mixed Media Layout with theme Night and no Flowers.

Yes, that is the challenge for October Month at More Than words Blog. And believe me it was quite challenging as you all know major of our Creations look Dull without flowers.

CLOSE YOUR EYES, TAKE A DEEP BREATHE, AND DREAM A LITTLE DREAM!!

I have tried to depict that night is an opportunity to dream a little dream and get ready for all the battles we have to fight! We rest, take a deep breathe and re-determine our promises to live a life we have imagined!

Sometimes when everything around is tough , we forgive and lighten our soul.
We pay gratitude to God for all those little things in life that are worthy.
We get into that Baby sleep and prepare ourselves for the times ahead..

Firstly, I prepared the MDF base with decoupage paper from my stash. I specifically chose black paper to suit the night layout..
I have used oval chipboard and the frame from Dusty Attic. This beautiful chipboard was covered with black gesso.
I have stenciled the background with metallic paint to brighten it.
I have also embellished the layout with beads, stars and some flourishes which are silver embossed.
I have given final touch by using Little Birdie waxes at various places in the layout..

Sharing some close up of the project.

CAS CARD USING MUDRA STENCIL - PEONY

 Hey Friends!!

Today I am sharing a CAS Card created with stenciling using a versatile & Elegant STENCIL PEONY from MUDRA STAMP.

Firstly , I have stenciled the image on a white cardstock using Distress Inks Fossilized Amber, Spiced Marmalade and Distress oxide Fossilized Amber. For the leaves , I have used peeled paint and mowed lawn shades.
Further to add effects and depth to the image , I have used Zig Clean Colors at various places.

I really love how simple and beautiful it turned out to be. We can play with loads of shades and create beautiful Cards.
Later , I embellished the Card with a simple sentiment tag and a twine.

I am entering this card for current month's watercolor challenge #35 at Mudra Stamps.
Hope you all will like it.
Thanks for stopping by my blog and appreciating my work.

A Mixed Media Decor

Hey Friends,

I am hooked onto Mixed Media and its a great way to recycle rather I would say Upcycle your old stuff.

Here is my another project with all of you.

I had an old glass plate where I  tried to use an old novel paper in the background, which gives a yellowish effect in the background. Through main image I have tried to show that Books are integral part of our life. Whatever age bracket we fall in, Books gives wings to our ideas, liberates our soul and expands our horizons of thinking by becoming a better human being.

I have used a border die from Heartfelt Creations, for the frame of the focal image. Also, used lot of layering in background using lot of stamping and embossing.. I have embellished the project with handmade flowers, liquid pearl drops and some chipboards.

So, Lets keep reading and creating something different each day!!
